DK’s very own Chairman Richard Taylor has been recognised by the North Midlands RFU for his amazing volunteering over the years.
John Griffiths NMRFU President stated as he presented Richard with his “Senior Club Volunteer of the Year 2025 award”:
“Richard was nominated for the work he has done with the DK’s lower teams. From a 3rd XV and a few 2nd XV at the end of Covid he and his team of aides has enabled DK to field 3 Saturday teams regularly and nearly enough for a 4th XV. The "spares" have been regularly taking part in the Social Rugby programme as well.”
We all know Richard, he has worked tirelessly for years to champion the lower sides at DK with amazing success! Only last week the Wasps (3rd XV) put out a squad of 30 players!! Not only that he has also taken on the role as DKRFC Club Chairman.
Richard is dedicated to the advancement and development of DKRFC, not just on the pitch but in every aspect of the club!
