On Saturday 6th December, the DK ladies and men’s cross-country teams competed in the second race of the season at Cofton Park. Ten ladies and twenty-three men represented the club at this event which included four team members who were trying cross country running for the first time. The course was a challenging one with some boggy areas to navigate, and a few hills thrown in too. However, every team member gave it their best and contributed towards a ladies team result of 23rd out of 27 senior teams, and 14th out of 24 masters (over 35s) teams, the men's senior results were 9th out of 21 ‘A’ team and 3 out of 4 ‘B’ team, the masters results were 11th out of 19 ‘A’ team and 5th out of 10 ‘B’ team.
Next race in on the 10th January where the men will be at Attingham Park and the Ladies at Top Barn, Worcester. Last year the courses were frozen, and the temperatures were below zero, so we’re hoping for a slightly better race this time round!
