Week 22 in M1W, did not confirm any promotions or relegations, but it is only in reality down to mathematics.
First to the prediction race to get that out of the way, well I increased my lead over Neil by one and we managed to disagree on the draw, does that tell a tale?
Droitwich 48 Old Halesonians 20: Droitwich did me proud and have found a good vein of form which is putting daylight between them and the bottom three. Old Hales are safe in mid table, but should be disappointed with the scoreboard.
Moseley Oak 19 Hereford 19: Two valuable points for Oak, but they will have wanted four in their position. Hereford are safe in mid table. Oak can avoid the drop, but the task looks difficult.
To the rest in League order:
Bromsgrove 52 Stoke on Trent 17: ‘Grove are within one positive result of securing top spot. SoT look set for fifth place.
DK 24 Newbold on Avon 19: A game in which kept your attention throughout and it meant that DK move into second place, but only one point ahead of NoA and Whitchurch, plenty to play for those three teams.
Whitchurch 36 Stourbridge Lions 13: Job done for Whitchurch, they are certainly in the mix for the play off place, while the Lions are drifting at the moment and need a positive result to calm the nervous at Stourton.
Worcester 36 Sutton Coldfield 0: Worcester are on a good run of form and Sutton’s form seems to have deserted them, so no surprise with this result. Sutton like the Lions need a win to ease away from the bottom three.
Longton 43 Malvern 5: Longton did the business and have closed the gap on those above them, but they probably need to repeat this result four more times. Malvern had to win this one in reality; their only chance is five, five pointers and other results falling for them.
The postponed Malvern v Hereford game takes place next weekend.
