Though, this weekend is really about the last place to be decided 2nd the play-off place. It is between DK and Newbold on Avon, to mark your card if DK get a five point win they finish 2nd, they also achieve that if they score the same league points as Newbold on the day. If Newbold finish the season on the same points as DK they take 2nd place because they have won more games during the season. So the two games involving the protagonists will be tense and there will be shredded finger nails waiting for information and the final results.
First to those two games:
Moseley Oak v Newbold on Avon: We agree on a NoA away win, Oaks points deduction has taken the edge off this one.
DK v Sutton Coldfield: This is of course the Constable Dai game so no prediction, but DK did get 5 league points on the opening weekend of the season.
We agree on one other game that being:
Longton v Stoke on Trent: We have both gone for an away win.
Next, come the four games Neil has chosen to mount his challenge with:
Bromsgrove v Worcester: I’ve played the form card and picked ‘Grove, Neil has put his faith in the recent form of Worcester.
Droitwich v Whitchurch: There is a case for both teams wanting to finish with a win; Neil has gone with Droitwich at home, and to finish on a strong note for next season. I’ve gone for an away win, for very much the same idea; Whitchurch will want a win to underline their good season.
Hereford v Stourbridge Lions: I’ve gone with form and picked Hereford to win at home, and the home advantage bias of the league. Neil has taken the gamble that the Lions will want to finish on a high.
Malvern v Old Halesonians: It’s Hales on the road for me, and Neil has gone for Malvern to finish with a bang and grab a home win.
Well will it go down to the wire?
