Not a good weekend on the prediction front, there were some surprising results, for us, which has meant that the league is now broken in three distinct groups. Though, the form lines that we thought were forming have been thrown into disarray.
This was reflected in our prediction race I shaded Neil three to two, not a good week. A careful look is needed for next week for both of us to get back on track, but there are three mid table clashes in there.
The top of the table now has four clubs separated by one point, while the majority of the clubs are together in the middle group where a couple of wins can make a difference. Kidderminster are getting detached at the foot of the table, and need something to change their fortunes.
To the games the Friday night game was the one we disagreed on.
Stourbridge Lions 20 Old Halesonians 10: I went with the Lions and took the points; Neil is getting a complex about his predictions for the Lions, after Hales let him down.
To the Saturday games we agreed on them all and thought they would be all away wins, how wrong could we be? The two we were correct to start with.
Sutton Coldfield 25 Newbold on Avon 30: NoA moved into the top half of the table for the first time this season, and are starting to show something of last season’s form. While Sutton look to their difficult start to the season, they have only played one team currently in the bottom half of the table.
Droitwich 14 Lichfield 32: This one we got right with Lichfield now the only side to have gained six try bonus points from the first six games, and are the highest scorers in the division so this one went the way we thought it would.
The remaining three were won by the home teams which meant we were both wrong.
Hereford 17 Kenilworth 10: Will this one be looked at when we get to April? Though, Kenilworth do go to the top of the table for the first time. Hereford, will take a lot of confidence from this result.
Whitchurch 24 Ludlow 23: It appears that Whitchurch, were stronger than expected and will be looking to move up the table, all due to the farming calendar; bearing this in mind Ludlow are picking up points in most games.
Worcester 47 Stoke on Trent 12: Well done, Worcester we did not see this result coming.
That leaves the Constable Dai game,
DK 52 Kidderminster Carolians 7: This one went with form and it looks like being a long season for Kiddy.
