SoT are still making the pace, following a close result at Old Hales with maximum points from their games so far. Kenilworth maintained their challenger with a 5 point win over DK. Hereford moved up to third with a win over Worcester.
At the foot of the table there is a group forming which no team wants to join, Kidderminster’s slope is already getting very steep, there is a certain urgency growing amongst the others, and bonus points will become increasingly important.
A brief look at our prediction race, the seaweed worked this week 11 out of 12 correct between us.
First, to the game we disagreed on before the weekend.
Newbold on Avon 32 Stourbridge Lions 24: NoA are pulling up the table with this win, Lions are our nemesis at the moment, we find them very difficult to predict.
The rest we got in the correct column.
Hereford 36 Worcester 3: Having seen Hereford this season they will provide a challenge for every team, especially beside the Wye. Worcester need to string some results together.
Lichfield 39 Whitchurch 5: Another try bonus point for Lichfield that’s 5 in a row, they are up to fifth place. Whitchurch are another team that needs some positive results sooner rather than later.
Ludlow 50 Sutton Coldfield 26: Ludlow continue their impressive start to the season. Sutton find themselves in the same boat as Worcester and Whitchurch.
Kidderminster Carolians 19 Droitwich 48: The margin of victory in this one tells the story.
Old Halesonians 24 Stoke on Trent 27: A 5 pointer for SoT says it all at the moment. Are Old Hales finding their particular formula for the season?
Next weekend contains some interesting fixtures, can’t wait.
